In our test series, the BX70i by cardiostrong was particularly captivating due to the interaction between the drive and braking systems. This ergometer is equipped with a high-quality induction braking system. This maintenance-free way of generating resistance is particularly precise, the adjustment of the resistance is faster and the calculation of the actual (watt) output is more accurate. The brake acts on a 10 kg flywheel mass. Due to the excellent workmanship, the cardiostrong exercise bike BX70i offers very good concentricity. This makes endurance training at home more pleasant and it is also more gentle on the joints by avoiding peak loads. Your power is transmitted to the flywheel mass via a drive belt made of plastic composite. This type of drive is wear-free and particularly quiet. For example, you can watch TV or talk while exercising at home.

The BX70i bicycle ergometer was impressive in the practical test with its particularly easy operation. The training computer of the bicycle ergometer has a so-called jog wheel, a rotary knob, as a central operating element. Thanks to this, all values can be quickly selected and confirmed. An overview of the 12 pre-installed programmes is shown on the display.

In addition to the classic programmes, such as interval or fartlek training with alternating loads, the load can also be controlled via other modes. Included herein, for example, is the heart rate programme: with this you can choose between 3 pre-programmed heart rate zones or enter your own target heart rate. In manual mode, the difficulty level can be selected completely freely. In Watt mode, the power to be applied always remains the same. That is, when you pedal faster, the resistance is lowered at the same time. In the practical test, the cardiostrong exercise bike BX70i exhibited a fast response at changing pedal speeds. The resistance power in Watt mode can be set between 10 and 350 watts.

The cardiostrong exercise bike BX70i has many features that make endurance training at home a comfortable experience. This is clear from the moment you climb on. The low step-through makes this particularly easy and is also easy for people with limited mobility. The saddle is very large and softly padded - ideal if you also plan longer training sessions. The seat position can also be adjusted in height, horizontally and in inclination, and as a result is perfectly adapted to your body size.

The handle of the bicycle ergometer allows for multiple training positions depending on whether you prefer to train sitting upright or in the sprint position while supporting your arms. At the front of the handle there are also the hand pulse sensors for heart rate measurement.

A water bottle holder is attached to the ergometer's one-piece frame so that you always have the reserve tank handy during long training sessions. Ich habe das Ergometer letzte Woche geliefert bekommen. Der Aufbau ging schnell und kann in kurzer Zeit zu zweit bewältigt werden. Da ich Knieprobleme habe war dieses Gerät laut Verkäufer genau das richtige für mich. Durch die Induktionsbremse läuft das Gerät super rund. Was mich ebenfalls überzeugt hat war das sehr kleine Aufstellmaß.

Ich habe vor Kurzem ein Ergometer erworben und bin absolut begeistert! Das Gerät ist äußerst stabil und bietet eine hervorragende Trainingsbasis. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Bildschirm – die Bedienung ist intuitiv und kinderleicht, was das Training noch angenehmer macht. Zudem benötigt das Ergometer nur wenig Aufstellfläche, was es perfekt für kleinere Räume macht. Ich kann dieses Produkt nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Toller Ergometer, vielseitig und komfortabel. Sehr stabil, da wackelt nichts. Der Sitz ist äusserst bequem, der Lenker angenehm in der Benutzung und vielseitig durch die Möglichkeit, zwischendurch auch mal die Griffposition zu wechseln. Der Computer lässt keine Wünsche offen und die kinomap-Software ein Traum - so bringt man Abwechslung ins Training! Die Aufbau- und Bedienungsanleitung ist vorbildlich, der Aufbau an sich geht schnell und reibungslos von statten.

Ergometer guter Ersatz für kaputten Daum

Da mein Daum Premium 8i nach 10 Jahren seinen Geist aufgegeben hat, habe ich die Kombination Daum + Ergoplanet mit dem BXI70 + Kinomap ersetzt. Bestellt ist es mit dem 2 man handling service worden. Hier gestaltet sich die Terminabsprache etwas schwierig. Wünschenswert wäre hier die Option Feierabend / Samstag Anlieferung. Der Aufbau gestaltet sich auch mit nur einer Person als relativ einfach. Ich habe mir anstelle des mitgelieferten Sattels und der Pedale nur meine eigenen montiert. Der mitgelieferte Sattel ist sehr speziell (breites Sofa), so dass ein individueller Sattel hier definitiv angezeigt ist. Meine Look Keo Pedale ließen sich auch einfacher montieren als auf dem Daum, da das vorgedrehte Pedal in die Durchsteiglücke passt, so dass man leicht an die Inbusschraube des Pedales kommt. Das Ergometer macht einen wertigen soliden Eindruck und ist im Betrieb absolut leise. Ich hatte noch einen Polar T34 Brustgurt, der von dem Ergometer erkannt wird. Das einzige, was sich an dem Ergometer nicht verstellen lässt, ist der Lenker. Dies hat sich bei ein paar Stunden Probefahrt aber nicht als problematisch herausgestellt, da dieser sehr viele Griffmöglichkeiten und damit unterschiedliche Oberkörperlagerungen ermöglicht. Wie bei allen Ergometern empfiehlt sich auch hier der Betrieb mit einem großen Standventilator. Einzig der Flaschenhalter könnte vielleicht ein paar Zentimeter tiefer montiert sein, da man im Moment bei der Entnahme leicht gegen die Kontrolleinheit stößt. Insgesamt ist das Gerät auf Ausdauertraining ausgelegt, wofür es sehr gut ist. Für Sprint Training o.ä. würde sich wahrscheinlich eher ein Spinning Bike anbieten. Richtig gut wird das Ding in Kombination mit Kinomap. Ich betreibe Kinomap auf einem 11 Zoll Android Tablett ohne GPS Sensor. Kinomap schimpft bei mir bei der Inbetriebnahme, es funktionierte aber, wenn ich zuvor mit der App BLE Scanner alle BLE Devices in der Umgebung angezeigt hatte (Das Ergometer erscheint dort als IConsole+). Dies ist bei einem Neustart des Tabletts dann auch noch notwendig. Wichtig ist am Ende des Trainings die App Kinomap auch wirklich abzuschießen. Sonst bleibt die Bluetooth Verbindung bestehen und das Ergometer geht nicht in standby. ... [Read more]

Beste Investition die ich in letzter Zeit gemacht hatte. Kam wie gewünscht schon fertig montiert auf Palette. Bestens verpackt so daß auch nichts passieren kann. Der Ergometer ist einfach ein Traum. Läuft total ruhig aber souverän und es macht einfach nur Spaß. Wird täglich 30 Minuten benutzt und man freut sich jeden Tag aufs neue. Bereue den Kauf überhaupt nicht und kann auch die Lieferung vormontiert auf Palette bestens empfehlen-wenn man zwei linke Hände wie ich hat…
Computer leider schon nach knapp 3 Jahren defekt

Habe das BX70i bereits in 12/2021 gekauft, wird 1-2x die Woche genutzt, als Ausgleich nicht auf Leistungs- oder Profi-Niveau. Verarbeitung, Fahrgefühl etc. erscheinen sehr wertig. Allerdings zeigen sich jetzt (11/2024) nach knapp drei Jahren bereits ernste Mängel: der Computer friert bereits wenige Augenblicke nach dem Start ein, sodass der Ergometer quasi nicht mehr genutzt werden kann. In Abstimmung mit Kundenservice habe ich bereits ein neues Netzteil (~53 € !) bestellt, was das Problem leider nicht gelöst hat. Die Klärung mit Kundendienst bzgl. Tausch/Reparatur Computer stehen noch aus (Anfrage heute gestellt), allerdings bin ich aufgrund der bisherigen Erfahrungen (hohe Ersatzteilkosten) etwas besorgt, und aufgrund der aufgetretenen Mängel etwas enttäuscht...... Produkt ist stabil , geräuschlos, Display gut. Pulsmessgerät am Lenker ist unbrauchbar, der Sitz ist zu breit. Gebrauchsanleitung könnte besser sein
